totally impressed by the quality of the work.
I am a total beginner, and I managed to route my guitar body perfectly.
We use this in a trade school setting to cut out guitar bodies and guitar necks using templates. Even with the 4 flutes you should still pay attention to the way your grain runs, but this thing works great. If you sand up to a 32nd of your template, it will cut out a 1 3/4” body in one pass. We slow the table router down and take our time to keep things safe. A step above your average contenders.
Cuts beautifully, leaves a nice finish that requires minimal sanding.
4 Flute Dual Bearing Router Bit 19mm x 51mm
For years I couldn't entertain the idea of paying £60 (including P&P) for a router bit, so I "managed" with cheaper offerings.
Then I saw Ben Crowe at Crimson Guitars using and praising the 4 flute, dual bearing router bit on his YouTube channel.
I decided to bite the bullet and ordered one and I have to say I could not have been more impressed with the performance of the cutter. The quality of the finish it produces is definitely worth the price.
If only I had realised years ago, I would have saved myself a lot of heartache.
